Don't know what you need to know about the course except it is brilliant! 

I have never learnt so much in such a short space of time and had it stick.  I would recommend this course to anyone who was serious about starting a career in plumbing or to gain a useful insight into DIY plumbing in general. 

Since finishing the course I have already started to make back some of the money that I spent on the course - all part-time (weekends and evenings).  If you can be reliable, friendly and cost-effective there are customers out there who will be only too happy to employ you.

Hi There all off you,

Sorry if I have not put much input into the Ex Student Support Forum as I have been extremely busy up to now. Well here is a quick update. After I finished the course I immediately jumped in feet first (the course gave me enough confidence to do this).

My first job was a complete new heating system (Combi) - Loads of fun and learned a hell of a lot. Made no money, but broke even (spent more time etc than I had to on the job).

Since then I have done more bathrooms than I care to count. From my heating job I have now got FOUR more complete heating jobs to be done (when I get time!) Loads of profit to be made.....I like, I like...

Anyway long story short, I have done loads and loads of different small jobs and am becoming well known in the local area among the builders and plumbers merchants.

I am confident at this stage that everything is going well and this is all because I made the decision to change careers and most importantly because I joined your course - it gave me a good start.

I can whole heartedly say that I have not regretted my decision to join your course for one second, also you guy's are a great bunch.

PS You can show this to any one...as I mean every word of it.

Hello everybody.          

Knowledge is knowing what can be shared or communicated. One way of getting knowledge or knowing something is through experience.

My two weeks at the Plumbskill Centre enabled me to acquire that experience and skills from basic pipe bending to more complicated bathroom fitting and recognising different types of boilers and water systems.

Obviously, all other aspects of plumbing namely, how to solder, the different types of fittings and pipes, all connections, running pipe work, all indoor fitting jobs and repair jobs were learnt. The list goes on.

The working environment was very pleasant and flexible with friendly and supportive staff. With copious materials to work with I believe that it gives everyone who wants to achieve plumbing skills, the opportunity to learn and know 'de visu'.

A big thanks to all staff who helped, assisted, and supported me and all my colleagues with a very professional approach. I would highly recommend anybody who wants to acquire serious knowledge and skills in plumbing to join the Plumbskill Centre.

Thought I would drop you a note to say how much I enjoyed and appreciated the recent training I attended at the Plumbskill Centre. Whilst studying the theory it was difficult to visualise the reality of the practical side. This is where I found your training to be of particular use. Not only did I develop the skills to complete the course but I can now relate the theory back to the practical. It all makes a lot more sense now!

I was particularly impressed with the process that allowed me to me move at my own pace, not being held back nor holding anyone else up.

Your chats, advice and soldering techniques have not only increased my confidence to perform the tasks but have made it possible for me to think through the process of installation and problem solving in a logical way. I now think before I act!

I found the course to be excellent, very enjoyable and comprehensive. It promotes real understanding of the subject from basics up to the more demanding tasks. The hands on approach to training and learning by your mistakes is ideal for all age groups. This is particularly so for anyone wanting to gain a sound understanding of plumbing for setting up their own business for employment purpose or just to increase their DIY knowledge to help family and friends.
